WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Are you watching The Path on Hulu?
If not, you really should be.

It stars Aaron Paul and Michelle Monaghan who are both babes! I may have little crushes on both of them. It's about a cult in New York, and the story is just so good! A lot of it reminds me of Scientology but the cult in the show is fictional.

Jeremy and I have been obsessed with that show recently and get so excited everytime a new episode pops up. For some reason we can never remember what day it gets released each week but we also won't just look it up. It's a fun little question to ask each other when we sit down with our dinner in front of the tv. I can't keep track of the amount of times Jeremy has asked me "Is there a new Path?" I'm pretty sure it gets released on Wednesdays but who's to really know? The internet. But that's too much work. :)

P.S. We literally never eat food at a table. Is eating at a table the norm still or in front of the TV? We always watch TV when we eat at home and I think it's seriously one of my favorite things! I love a good dinner and TV date! Seriously though, I could probably count the amount of times we've eaten at the table on less than two hands and each time it's because my mama was in town.

Also last night was the best! We both got home kind of late and were too tired to make dinner so we just had bowls of cereal for dinner on the couch, cuddled up to watch The Path and I can't think of a better way to spend a Wednesday night!

Thank you Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and thank you Hulu for helping us have the loveliest Wednesday night in.

LOS ANGELES IN TWO DAYS!

We leave for Los Angeles in two days!!
Well, three days if you count today.

Our flight leaves Friday morning and I can't wait to get away from Utah for a bit. I love Utah, I do. But it sure is nice to escape it for a little bit. Even if it's just the weekend. And best of all, my aunt (who I'm staying with) lives literally like 1.5 mile from the beach. It's a lovely thing!

I keep thinking about how badly I want to go back to Disneyland! I haven't been since I was 18 which weirdly doesn't feel that long ago but also feels like an extremely long time at the same time. I don't think this will be the weekend for it just because it's Easter weekend and I'm sure it'll be especially packed, but I do want to go soon! 6 years is way too long now that I think about it!

Work is crazy busy this week as I try to get everything done before I leave for my trip but I should be able to do everything! I just hate the idea of taking time off if I'm not completely caught up.

Also, last night as I was busily sewing skirts and getting orders ready to ship, Jeremy decided he was going to make me dinner and made the yummiest stuffed chicken with pesto, cream cheese, and provolone cheese! It was seriously so good you guys! Like, so good. So thank you for that, bug. :)

P.S. I just bought the cutest swim bottoms from Kortni Jeane! They're the ruffle Melon ones and I'm excited to get them! I have a pair of pineapple bottoms from her line and I just LOVE them! They are so comfy and cute!

I GOT ACCEPTED TO THE SALT & HONEY MARKET!

HOORAY!

I have really loved going to all types of markets and craft shows in Salt Lake City but especially the Salt & Honey Market. I finally applied to have my shop included in the Spring market and guess what! I got accepted!

My booth will be there the first week of May from May 2nd-May 6th. I had to put my Etsy shop on vacation mode for a bit just so I can build up my inventory for the market and prepare my booth's set up, but the Etsy shop will be turned back on the first week of May once I'm all settled in for the market.

Orders started to pick up and I foolishly thought I could keep up with orders AND build inventory for the market but last night I came to my senses and realized I couldn't do both in time.

So now I'll just be finishing up the last 10 orders I just got and then sewing sewing sewing for Salt & Honey!

This will be the first market I will be in with my Confetti Heart business and I'm so excited! If all goes well, I love the idea of doing these shows more regularly. I grew up going to craft shows with my mama as she sold handmade soap and candles and I think this will be a fun little nostalgia to my childhood years. Also can I just say how ahead of the trend my mama was back then making soap and candles! When I would go to those craft shows I wouldn't ever see another booth selling anything remotely similar, and now it's so trendy to make your own soap or candles! She really was ahead of that trend back then and that's pretty cool in my book. :)

Anyway, if you live in Utah and love going to cute markets, you should go check out my booth the first week of May! It will be at The Gateway in SLC. I'm 92% sure it's in the old Anthropologie building since that's where it was for the Fall show.

Come check it out if you can!

WEIRD LITTLE THINGS

1. I've watched The Office from start to finish I don't know how many times, and I bawl my eyes out when it ends everytime. That last episode is so happy and cute, but makes me cry every single time knowing the show is over.

If Netflix was going to bring back any show for a season it should be The Office! But knowing how bad those remake seasons go, I probably wouldn't want The Office butchered like that. We just watched the second to last episode last night and I know the inevitable is coming. I guess I'll just have to start from the pilot again. Jeremy, you down? :)

2. I brought my yoga mat to my office yesterday so I can take little micro breaks to do some quick crunches and push ups behind my desk, but I haven't worked up the courage to actually do it yet. I should just do it though! My coworkers take a million breaks to go smoke outside so whats the difference between that and me having a quick crunch break? I just know it will be funny when someone walks in my office and I'm down on the floor behind my desk on a yoga mat.

3. I just started the podcast S-Town thanks to my friend Britt who told me about it. Who else is listening to it? I'm just on episode 3 but I'm already so hooked!

4. I keep seeing acai bowls all over the internet but I've yet to try anything acai. Is it worth all the hype? I just watched a video of Aspyn Ovard making one and it looked really good! I just feel like acai really got popular these past two years. Maybe that's what I'll try to make this week!

5. I realized I'm super impulsive in some areas and very slow to pull the trigger in others. I'll explain. A couple days ago I was at work when I got the idea to fly to LA for Easter weekend. That same evening I had convinced Jeremy to go with me and we were buying tickets. (I didn't really have to convince him, he wanted to go.)
But he's been asking me for about a week to pull the trigger on a hotel or AirBnb for another trip we're going on in May and I just couldn't do it! For a whole week I put off booking hotels, but I bought airplane tickets in less than 8 hours of having the idea. I think it boils down to feeling like only after I book a hotel will I find one I like more and feel like I missed out.

6. The last Weird Little Things list I talked about the movie IT and being scared of pennywise. When I wrote that, I had no idea they were doing a remake of the movie! I watched the trailer for the new one a few days ago and it looks so scary! Woof. I don't know if seeing that will help diminish my fear or only increase it. It does look good though!
That being said, why did they make the kid hit his head on the street sign?? That was a weird comical part for a scary movie.

YAY FOR SPONTANEOUS TRIPS!

Last night we spontaneously bought tickets to LA for Easter weekend! And the best part is it only cost each of us $115.50 round trip. $55.50 from Provo to LA, and $60 coming back. I'm so excited! I really can't seem to make it more than a few months without going back home but I'm totally okay with that!

Seriously you guys, Allegiant Air is my best friend airline these past few years and I just feel like I need to tell everyone about it! They have the cheapest flights and the airline itself is pretty decent for being so cheap. I've never had any issues with them. When I was living in Rexburg I would fly home from Idaho Falls to San Francisco for like $80 round trip. It baffles my mind that it can even be that cheap!

This feels like some weird ad and I don't mean it to be. I just love flying everywhere so cheap and when I tell most people about Allegiant they have never heard of it before, so just consider this a little PSA. The more you know! (insert flying star here.) haha

I'm so excited for this little trip! I just need to get out of Utah periodically for my own personal sanity and well being, and I just love Southern Calfornia so much. I love the idea of moving there in the nearish future. Jeremy doesn't care for that idea so much, but I do! I think he would like it more once he goes a few more times. ;)

10 days until our trip! And 10 days until we get to fly together for the first time! We've gone on trips together before, but we've driven everywhere in the past so this will be the first time we get to fly together!

I'll be seeing you soon, warm sunny California!

FIRST WEEKEND OF APRIL

This weekend was busy busy busy. The good kind of busy though. Mamabear flew into town on Thursday so I got to visit with her all weekend which was so nice!

Friday was pretty laid back. When I got home from work I helped Mama make dinner. We had turkey burgers and they were so yummy! We rented the movie Shut In which was entertaining and suspenseful, but I probably wouldn't ever watch it again.

Saturday we worked on the house for a bit in the morning after breakfast. Forrest painted part of the house, while Mama and I cleaned up the front porch and took things back where they belong in the backyard. All my tulips and daffodils are just starting to bloom so I've really been loving our yard lately!

We took Mama to Ensign Peak because she had never been before. We just went to the first overlook because Jeremy and I had somewhere to be and we didn't have a whole lot of time. It was a really nice, clear day so you could see far over the city. I honestly might like that lower lookout better than the higher one because you're not so far away from everything. The higher one just makes you so much further from everything that it's harder to see all the details.

Sunday morning, we went to the first session of General Conference with Mama. I'll be honest, I've never been the biggest fan of conference. It's kind of boring and I don't like that it takes up the whole weekend and makes you feel guilty for doing things on a Saturday. Non-Mormons won't know what I mean, but it essentially is like having church not only all day on Sunday but again on Saturday. It eats up your whole weekend. That being said, being there wasn't bad! I just don't know how much I really believe anymore. But another day for all of that.

I know you can't zoom in on this photo, but if you could, you'd see Jeremy and I look very Tim Burton-esque. Something about this photo made our eye sockets reeeaally dark and we just look a little spooky which makes me love it even more! :)

After conference we made paninis for lunch, and then took Mama to the airport. On our way back we stopped by to visit with Mal because she was in town this weekend. It was so nice to see her! I've missed her so much!

I mean... just look how cute we are! Thanks for being my friend, Mal. I love you girl! I need to go to Seattle soon to visit her.

Overall, it was a fun weekend! I left out a lot but that's okay by me. :)
