OCTOBER WEEKEND!

This weekend felt like such a perfect little Autumn weekend!

Saturday morning we went to The Park Cafe. It's always so yummy and we love that place! After breakfast, we were walking back to our car and we saw a yard sale sign that read "Hipster Yard Sale" which we thought was really silly. So of course we detoured our walk to pass by, and I was sooo disappointed. Hipster yard sale actually just meant a totally average, mediocre yard sale. I think I was expecting some cooler stuff but it literally was just a normal yard sale haha. We should have known.

We also went to pick out a few mini pumpkins for an upcoming photoshoot I'm doing for my Etsy shop! I love fall shoots so much! Now if I could just find time to do all the photoshoots I have planned out in my mind!

We actually tried to go to Lagoon Saturday night for date night, but it was a nightmare! I realized we haven't really been on a Saturday before and I couldn't believe just how packed it was! The lines for even the dumbest rides were crazy long so ultimately we just walked around in Pioneer Village, went through a haunted house, did the bumper cars, and decided to just go home and come back on our usual day: Sunday.

It was seriously night and day from Saturday crowds to Sunday crowds. Nobody goes on Sundays and that's exactly why Jeremy and I LOVE going on Sundays! I'm telling you, not going to church anymore really frees up a whole new day of the weekend! It's a beautiful thing. haha

I just have been reeaally loving Lagoon lately! It's so Halloweeney and it makes me feel like a little kid which is seriously needed after all the time I've been spending working lately. It's so fun to just go act like a little kid with Jeremy for a few hours.

We sat in the front of the train ride which was fun to watch the little conductor kid who clearly looked like he was very new to the job. I made Jeremy ride the pirate ship with me twice because I forgot just how fun the pirate ship is! We finally went on Terroride since it's been updated which was really fun! It's actually pretty spooky now with all the changes they've made! The line is just always so long for it but yesterday it wasn't as long so we decided to just wait in line for once. It was worth it!

Oh October, I love you. Please stay for three more months.

THIS PAST WEEKEND

This past weekend was one of those that I felt like I did a lot of fun things, but when people ask "How was your weekend?" I can't think of anything to tell them. That used to happen a lot in school too. On Mondays, everyone would ask how my weekend was and I could never remember any fun things I did; I blame it on my bad memory. Like even if I did a really cool thing, I would never remember it until they already walked away and I thought "Why didn't I tell them about the cool concert in San Francisco?!" Etc.

I also don't have any photos from this whole weekend because I kind of unknowingly boycotted my phone this weekend which was actually really nice! I constantly just kept leaving it in another room while I was home, or in my purse while I was out. It's kind of nice to just forget about phones for a bit. We're all way too dependent on them.

Sunday morning Jeremy and I went to Lagoon to ride a few rides! It had been a while since we went last, so I just was in the mood to go to Lagoon again. We are practically an 80 year old couple because one of our favorite rides is the train ride. We rode that twice actually!

Saturday, Jeremy and I met a friend at Tulie to visit. After coffee, we went to lunch at R&R BBQ with Forrest and my mama which is always such a yummy place! The pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese are so good, you guys!

We also watched a lot of Seinfeld this weekend which I LOVED! I really love Seinfeld and Jeremy is just barely getting into it for the first time so it's fun to have 9 seasons of shows to watch all over again with him! Seinfeld is seriously so good, and crazy just how relevant it still feels today! I don't really notice the age of the show like I do other 90s shows.

It was just an easy going weekend of Lagoon, yummy food, and Seinfeld. What more could I want. :)

FIRST DAY OF LAGOON!

We bought season passes to Lagoon!!
And Sunday afternoon we went for the first time this year. It was so much fun!

We started the day with the train ride because we both love that train ride; it's just so calming to ride around the lake and have the breeze on your face. I also love being able to see all the animals up close.

Fun story: The first time Jeremy and I ever rode that train right when we pulled around to the tiger cages a tiger roared at us! Like legitimately opened his mouth fiercely and roared! It was so terrifying but also really cool to see that! It's never happened since, but that tiger did NOT like something about our train that time or someone sitting on it. His roar was so deep and ferocious and pretty terrifying. Has anyone else heard a tiger roar in real life? It's crazy isn't it?!

We rode all the fun rides and the lines were so short we just walked up to each ride, waited a minute for the current ride to finish and then hopped on! Those are my favorite days for sure! Although its always intimidating when you go up to ride Cannibal and as soon as you get to the gates they tell you you can just hop on. There's literally no time to mentally prepare for what you're about to do when there isn't a line haha.

It was such a lovely day! And the best part is because we have passes there's not that underlying stress to try to squeeze everything into one day. We literally went and rode everything we wanted to ride that day and left after about 3 hours.

Yay for a summer of Lagoon trips and Seven Peak waterslides after work everyday. :)
